Strong explosive eruption of Bezymianny finished. Seismic activity of the
volcano decreased but about 30 local seismic events occurred at the volcano
from 10:20 till 20:00 UTC on December 24. Seismicity of the volcano returned to
background levels at 20:00 UTC on December 24. According to seismic data, only
2 hot avalanches were registered on December 25. Big thermal anomaly at the
lava dome is noting at present.

The activity of the volcano could affect low-flying aircraft in the vicinity of
the volcano. Growth of the lava dome continues.
