If you want to support me and my work with donations on this website and my other geology websites you can easily do so. Support with donation is important to me and the work that I do here. For one off donations please use the Paypal button here to the right. If you want to donate on regular basis, please use the Paypal subscription button. Donations allow me to keep monitoring and writing about volcanoes in Iceland, along with earthquake activity and other geological events that happen in Iceland.
Paypal notice: In January 2015 I am going to close my current Paypal Account (I can’t move them between countries, so I have to open new one once I move back to Iceland). Due this I have removed regular donations options since those donations run for 12 month period. Any donation that is still ongoing in January 2015 is going to be cancelled due to this change. It is going to take me few days to set-up new Paypal account in January 2015.
This account is going to remain open after December 2014 (I’m not going to close it, as I was originally planning to do). For people living in EU sending direct donations to this bank account is the cheapest and best.
For bank donations via SWIFT:
Name: Jon Frimann Jonsson or Jón Frímann Jónsson
From January 2015 this information is going to be preferred donation bank account (for those who do not want to use PayPal). Please note that it is going to cost (check with your bank for more information on this) more to send direct donations to Iceland than Denmark since Iceland is not a EU member.
Name: Jon Frimann Jonsson or Jón Frímann Jónsson (both are going to work)
There are cost following donating with the SWIFT system. Please check with your local bank on that cost of transfer. It costs me 15 DKK (SEPA) to receive a donation from EU countries and up to 100 DKK from none-EU countries into my danish bank account. This method of donation is secure (more secure than Paypal). It takes donations from 3 to 5 work days to arrive to my account with the SWIFT/IBAN bank system.
If you are having issues or need more information, please contact me with an email at jon...@jonfr.com (it’s spam protected here). Thanks for the support.
